Manchester United squad overhaul Rated Not Need Much
Manchester – After an unsatisfactory last season with Manchester United still considered not need to do much overhaul the squad. MU currently only need to add one or two top players only.
Manchester United could only finish seventh in the Premier League standings last season. Besides not penetrate into European competition, the result was a worst finish of the Red Devils in the Premier League since 1990.
Facing the new season brings MU Louis van Gaal to sit on the bench manager. Some players also participate trafficked though some fans ‘Red Devils’ vote was not enough to compete with the top players from rival clubs.
Rene Meulensteen who is a former right-hand man of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United also had the assessment agrees with the claim that the Red Devils still need additional least four top players to compete again.
Yet according to Bryan Robson, the oldest player armband bearing the MU in the period 1982-1994, it is not so. According to Van Gaal’s current squad is capable enough. Even if they need additional players, the amount was less than four.
“I think if United bring in two top players again we will be up there to become the challenger with the best teams,” Robson value on talkSPORT.
“With players like Danny Welbeck, Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and, if I were a manager in the Premier League, I will not tamper with any of the three to players at other clubs.
“That kind of quality they have at the club and this is a matter of how to build a team around the types of players like that,” explained the man who once worked with Middlesbrough, Bradford City, West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United, and the Thai national team.
Manchester United began their work in the Premier League this season with a 1-2 home defeat of Swansea. MU will next visit to the headquarters Sunderland this weekend, Sunday (08/24/2014).
