LIVERPOOL, – Striker Mario Balotelli has not shown the expected role. Since imported Liverpool from AC Milan in August 2014, Balotelli has not scored in nine appearances in the Premier League.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers had said it would sell Balotelli before his contract runs out in June 2018, when 24-year-old player never reached the expected level of the game.
Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, did not rule out Balotelli will leave Liverpool. However, according to Raiola, Balotelli will not return to Italy, including Inter Milan newly reappointed as coach Roberto Mancini, replacing Walter Mazzarri.
“Back to Inter? Impossible. Not because Mancini, but for other reasons which need not be discussed. (Balotelli) is also not going to Napoli. Mario will not return to Italy,” Raiola said.
Previous Mancini at Inter in 2004-2008. In that period, Mancini promote Balotelli into the first team Nerazzurri, so that Balotelli is seen as one of the best Italian talents.
Meanwhile, Balotelli said that he had done what he should do. Problem goal, according to Balotelli, he just has not been lucky.
“There’s nothing wrong in my life. I train hard, play, run. I do everything. The less only goal. I think it was just bad luck,” said Balotelli.
“I do not want to talk about it, because things like this can happen to anyone. I do not need others to believe me. As long as I believe in myself, I do not need others to believe me. I’m going to score goals,” he added.
