Liverpool – Jordan Henderson is now a key figure in Liverpool and even going to replace Steven Gerrard as captain. Whereas at one time he actually considered as a transfer failed the Reds.

The claims made by Damien Comolli, Liverpool’s director of football former also responsible for bringing Henderson from Sunderland in the summer of 2011.

“When I left Liverpool, the owner told me that Henderson is a big mistake,” he admitted in the Liverpool Echo.

“Now in the process she will be the next captain of Liverpool and he was a regular player,” said Comolli.

Such recognition is the latest criticism of Comolli to Fenway Sports Group, owner of Liverpool, since he was dismissed in April 2012. “I think no need to justify whether Carroll is a good or bad decision. See overall. When the now-now people talk to me about Liverpool, they told me how wonderful my job to bring players like Luis Suarez and Jordan Henderson to the club,” he said.

“The problem I have is when a bunch of owners close to someone like me and say ‘we want to invest long term, we want to bring in young players, we want you to put together a squad that has a future for three to five years, we want you works with colleges’, and we started doing it all and after a few months or even a few years they’ve said, ‘Sorry, this does not work’. you can not say the focus to the future and at the same time said the young players are not ready compete at the highest level, “said Comolli.
