Firenze – is not yet known how the future of Mario Gomez at Fiorentina. However, it is clear that the German international striker was an opportunity to finish his career with La Viola.
Recruited from Bayern Munich in 2013, Gomez at Fiorentina contract will expire in the summer of 2017. To date, there has been no talk of a new contract with the club despite Gomez claimed to be happy.
“The future? I am very happy here but it is still too early to say whether I would have spent my career in Florence, even though it is actually a possibility,” said Gomez told Sport1 quoted by Football Italia.
“Are fans here better than in Germany? I do not like to make comparisons. Supporters of Bayern and Stuttgart great, but I also can ensure that the Fiorentina fans is fantastic.”
Gomez was having a difficult time in Fiorentian due to prolonged injury. However, lately the Spanish-blooded players again showed sharpness.
“Fitness and performance is very important for a player like me. I have always worked hard but know it’s only a matter of time for me to get back to peak performance,” said Gomez.
