London – Aston Villa manager, Tim Sherwood, called his team holds the status of being the underdog in the final of the FA Cup. Therefore, there will be pressure on the Arsenal.
Villa reached the final after beating Liverpool 2-1 in the game at Wembley on Sunday (19/4). The Villans had left earlier goal by Philippe Coutinho in the 30th minute. However, they reverse the situation through Christian Benteke goal in the 36th minute and Fabian Delph in the 54th minute.
The victory makes Villa meet Arsenal in the final which will be held on 30 May. Arsenal themselves advanced to the finals after beating Reading 2-1 via perpanjanan time.
“I saw the semifinal match yesterday and was amazed at how kalemnya Arsene Wenger. I own menumpah-spill emotion here,” Sherwood said as quoted by the BBC.
In contrast to Wenger, Sherwood is often not able to hide his emotions. He slammed the jacket when growled and jumped up and down for joy when his team scored.
Create Sherwood, advanced to the final of the FA Cup is a success in itself. Yet three months he replaced Paul Lambert, now he has a chance to get his first trophy as manager.
However, he believes that Arsenal will still be seeded on top of the party next month.
“We will be the underdogs, the pressure is on Arsenal because they are also the defending champions. But we think that just recently,” said Sherwood.
