Liverpool – Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers claims Jordon Ibe will sign a new contract before the season ends, amid reports that the 19-year-old player to delay talks over a contract extension.
With Raheem Sterling has not signed a new contract, led to speculation about his future, Ibe was reportedly done the same thing so that rumors were also born. Though Rodgers was sure next season Ibe has tied a new contract by the Reds.
“There is nothing new about Jordon contract, but it was close. He was very happy here. He saw himself getting a chance at Liverpool,” said Rodgers in the event of Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast cited talkSPORT.
“Everything will be sorted out before the season ended. He was a good young man and underwent all in accordance with its own steps,” he added.
Ibe is one player that is not easily found these days because it is not represented by an agent and perform their own contract discussions. It was referred to Rodgers as a breath of fresh air.
“There are a great number of agents, who do a good job, but also refreshing when you sit down and speak directly with a young man, and not others who speak for them,” said Rodgers.
