Southampton – morgan schneiderlin back touted to be heading for the exit Southampton this summer. However, Southampton manager, Ronald Koeman, convinced that his men would remain in the team.
Schneiderlin was widely rumored to be digaet Arsenal in the summer of last year. But, Southampton determined not want to take the French midfielder so that the transfer was not realized.
Arsenal reportedly not given up the pursuit of Schneiderlin and will re-do approach to Southampton. But, they have a competitor. Their north London neighbors, Tottenham Hotspur, reportedly also interested in the player.
When asked whether Schneiderlin will go from Southampton this summer, Koeman said: “I think not,” he said.
“He has a contract with the club and nothing serious bid for him,” Koeman said on Sky Sports.
“Okay, it’s all about the rumors. But I can not listen to all the rumors because then I would be crazy,” he said.
“He is a good player and more players Southampton are connected or will be connected with other clubs,” said Koeman.
Southampton recruited Schneiderlin from Strasbourg in 2008, when he was barely 19 years old. He fought with the Saints from League One caste until promotion to the Championship and Premier League.
Until now Schneiderlin has appeared in 256 games with Southampton and scored 15 goals.
